Beginning Drawing


Offered to freshman - senior students interested in expanding their drawing skills.  Topics cover will include drawing from observation, grid drawing, proportional human faces and figures, shading and repenting 3-D space, comic-booking, creative self expression, and color blending.  This class will culminate with an open final project that the student tailors to their own artist interests. 

 

Students will work independently and collaboratively to submit a new art piece every two-four weeks.  Written and verbal critiques are a critical part of our development as an art community and your development as an artists.  After completion of each new art piece the work must be documented digitally by the student for development of a portfolio.  

 

Maintenance of a weekly sketchbooks (in addition to sketchbooks assignment in other art classes) is required for this course.
