Curriculum Coordinator to Museum as Critical Curriculum, January-May 2011

During the Spring 2011 semester I coordinated the programming for workshops with visiting youth from Young Chicago Authors from Louder Than A Bomb Poetry Slam for the course Museum as Critical Curriculum.  In my role as Curriculum Coordinator I provided feedback and instructional guidance to my fellow graduate students and developed programming to engage youth through art-objects based education.  I worked collaboratively to instruct youth in engaging critically and react imaginatively to the artwork within the museum and the greater arts community while discovering interdisciplinary connections between poetry and visual art.
