My classes, designed to produce mastery of subject, are comprised of group projects built upon the democratic model in which all students contribute to discussion content through student-generated multi-media presentations. Students actively compose grading rubrics which are used for peer-based assessments. We explore a number of research methods, including published texts as well as computer resources and personal interviews. Final individual projects incorporate written compositions, oral presentations, multi-media presentations and final art projects.
