Vocabulary
- All vocabulary terms are review. The list of terms will be student-generated review during the second lesson and will be evaluated through their application of the terms in the final presentation and artist’s statement. Please see attached rubrics.
Writing, Research, and Reflection
- Outcome: Demonstrate the ability to select and apply contemporary forms of technology to solve problems or compile information
- Students will conduct research through reading on-line essays regarding the artist of the student’s choice
- Students will report their research with their peers through their PowerPoint presentation discussing the artist’s biography, style and techniques, applying key concepts and key words
- Students will write their artist’s statement to accompany their final work of art, which is presented alongside the research they have compiled on their favorite artist
- Students will evaluate one another using the attached evaluation form
- Students will reflect on their progress throughout the semester based upon their peer’s evaluation and assess their own project, allowing them to evaluate the efficacy of their own work when viewed side by side with that of their peers
