Spaces for Possibility: An Arts Based Learning Community for Reflective Teacher Practice (2018-2019)

University of British Columbia, Kate Thomas  Ph.D. candidate study for Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy

I'm very excited to be a part of this study for art teachers in Chicago. For more information about the storefront space for teachers, see blog here

We are a collective of public school art educators who have made art together since 2011 to collaboratively address the challenges of our current teaching conditions. Spaces for Possibility uses a storefront site as a space for 'practicing being with our impotential'. This practice opens a space for preserving our professional potential; to know other ways of being through self-care and art making practices.
