My name is Jennifer Qian.

I am American Chinese.

I was born deaf in the year of 1991.

I had cochlear implant at the age of 4.

My grandfather is an artist and he inspired me ever since I was young.

I lived in the States, Hong Kong and China.

In high school, I mainly practiced painting and drawing.

I decided to explore sculpture in college.

Now I am exploring all kinds of new media as much as possible.

Learned Anatomy, Lithography, Ceramics, Metal Work, Mold Making and Casting and Wood Cutting.

 

I have been comfortable playing with color, psychology and hybrids and now I am heading in a more explorative direction to work with new media.
