Adding Rubrics to Assignments

 

Within the assignment add Evidence (the same button used previous to select the documentation students will submit for this assignment) by selecting Workflow steps with the Add Step button. 

 

Select a category of Rubirc from the left sidebar. 

The selected category of rubric will display on the screen.

Add this step to insert a rubric workflow step. 

This will add a new workflow step to the assignment.  The step will automaticaly be name My Rubric, however this can be renamed for a more specify the elements of the assignment which are being evaluated and will make copying the rubic easier in the future.  The example below was renamed Final Draft Rubric to indicate that it only evluates the final draft of this assignment.  Select your Step Options for when the rubric is available. 

Select the elements of the assignment which are being evaluated from the This Step Assesses dropdown menu.  Click on each step that appliues to this rubric.  This will create a digital paper trail of student assesment.  More than one step may be selected at once.   

To copy a previous rubric or to create a new rubric from crstach sleect the Change button. 

This will open a new window.  You can then select the rubric you want to copy or create a new rubric from scratch.
