"We got smart. We got real smart," the street performers declare as they collect money before presenting their final act. 

Barbara Babcock Abrams argued that tricksters are "aggressive, vindictive, vain, defiant of authority," protesting against norms while providing comic relief. This video contrasts Chicago's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade with a different type of entertainment also found on the streets.
